I still have some LODs and DMs to fix and ajust but most of it is gonna get pulled straight off of the MK Vb. The shadow model will need changes for both models. But it is gettin' there. This is just an interum skin until Good Wood my skinner is done with the MK IB skin. Enjoy.

Not a complaint but just asking. Right where the leading edge of the wing meets the fuselage, it looks like something is missing there. Is that due to the interim skin?

The wing is bent upward at that place so it looks like something is missing but the leading edge is there.
Harti, The IA was made in 1939 and using a 1,000 or so hp Merlin I-II and it has 8 303s instead of the 2 20s and 4 303s. The IB had the same gun configureation as the Vb but on a I standard and was about 2 years earlier in deployment. _____________ Major Priller Jagdverband 44 Aces Are Those That Are Unseen And Unheard Until It's Too LATE! Nice work, can't wait to fly her, I love flying the Early Mk's for some reason, I dont a kick out of flying the Vb's. Just thinking out loud, is there plans for an Mk II?
Sorry, there might have been a slight upward bent at the front wing root, but it is far too prominent in your model, it definitely doesn't look right.
I also think, but that is just a hunch, that the front rudder fairing looks too elongated in a forward direction, as if the rudder front edge is too "streamlined", i.e. "leaning backwards too much". You might want to check that too.
The upward part is wrong and will be fixed, Ed W pointed that out on ICQ to me a coulpe hours ago. Also, the tail is identical to the Vb and as far as I know they were the same and the tail fits the plan perfectly. It could just be the excellent useage of smoothing groups. _____________ Major Priller Jagdverband 44 Aces Are Those That Are Unseen And Unheard Until It's Too LATE! Looking good! But I still think that Spits are ugly!

I was working and refining that yesterday. I will post some pics of the better blades when I get home. But So far I'm just fixing the mapping, Null, and refineing the clean and smooth lines of the model so it looks like the gracious Spitfire of BOB. _____________ Major Priller Jagdverband 44 Aces Are Those That Are Unseen And Unheard Until It's Too LATE! That is a peice of void that showedup in the render by accident I believe or some white paint got onto the skin. But it will be all fixed up. No worries. _____________ Major Priller Jagdverband 44 Aces Are Those That Are Unseen And Unheard Until It's Too LATE! P-47N Modeller Spitfire MK IA & IB Modeller Do-217M-1 Modeller
Yup looking better there. At the point where the blades leave the spinner it still looks very flat, when you compare to the photo above you'll see what I mean
One last question, Where have you connected the ariel to? From your renders it kinda looks like the wire enters the verticle stab about half way up, whereas where it should connect is atop the rudder horn.
