Captured FW190
(http://files.netwings.org/files/cfs3_planes/British/Captured_FW190/captured_fw_190a_5.zip)
|
This is one of the 6 planes in the captured aircraft series. All planes are based on stock. During WW2 some planes got into the hands of the other side and most of these palnes were used to evaluate the enemies capabilities in the airwar, but a few was used in active duty, as the depicted BF109 that was flown by a polish pilot. He should have called his plane Nemesis. Well have fun with these captured standalone planes. I had fun doing them and doing the reasearch.

CFS3 Supermarine Spitfire Mk IIA 41 Squadron `Observer Corps`
Mods of Patrick Didier`s Spitfire MkIA to Mk IIA standard in 41 Squadron markings from late 1940.
(Version 1.3)
This folder contains one model, in the markings of No41 Squadron from the end of 1940. This is a rather early production Mk II as it has the `B` camoflage pattern discontinued at the end of 1940 rather than the more usual `A` scheme applied to most MkII`s. The aircraft also has the sky recognition band round the rear fuselage introduced during December 1940 and in common with most aircraft painted in the field it partially covers the serial. I`ve also included some upgrades for my previous Mk IIs as I found some errors in the panel lines and rivets inherited from the original PD model while working on this one and have also updated some info in some of the other files. enjoy!

Spitfire MkIIa NKK
(http://files.netwings.org/files/cfs3_planes/British/Spitfire_MkIIa_NKK/spit2ankk.zip)
|
CFS3 Supermarine Spitfire Mk IIA 118 Squadron
This is a standalone version of Patrick Didier`s Spitfire MkIA with some modifications to various files to approximate a Mk IIA standard aircraft. A second AI model without squadron codes is also included.
(Version 1.1)
While I have done a fair bit of work on CFS 1 and 2 in the past, this is my first attempt to do anything major for CFS 3 so expect a few rough edges. Most of the modified data I used came from various aviation books chiefly Jane`s though some info came from a spreadsheet available from Avhistory, but this is hardly a 1% model. I replaced the original PD cockpit with the stock CFS 3 cockpit as I find it looks better, the original cockpit is included if you prefer. I created this mod to fill in a gap in CFS 3 aircraft ability as there is currently no Mk II available for the game and its the last major Spitfire mark that needs to be represented.

'window' or 'duppel'
|
This is a recreation of the 'window' or 'duppel' which was dropped by the British on the 1st of the 'Operation Gemorrah' or ' the Battle of Hamburg' attacks on the 24th/25th July 1940. This was the 1st use of the metallic strips designed to interfer with the then current wavelengths of German radar; both on the ground and in the nachtjaeger. It also represented the beginning of the end of the 'Kammhuber Line' and 'Himmelbett'. Other tactics were already being developed such as 'Zahme Sau' and 'Wilde Sau' Credit goes primarliy to Mathias but also 'POB'(moi 1000)
